Autos in the GHMC area would go off the road from May 16 indefinitely in protest against the RTA and Traffic Police authorities’ “double standards”. Telangana Auto Drivers JAC has appealed auto drivers to take part in the strike.
Their demands include immediate settlement of Auto Drivers’ just grievances, including arrest of the Ola and Uber cab companies managements, withdrawal of Auto permit cancellation order and issue of spot challans instead of e-challan system.
Telangana Auto Drivers JAC convenor Mohammed Amanullah Khan demanded that the Chief Minister fulfill his promise to issue driving licenses to Auto drivers without VIII Class Pass.
A dharna will be staged near Police Control Room on May 16, at 11 am in this connection.
