TADJAC threatens stir against RTA online services

Hyderabad: Telangana Auto Drivers’ JAC has demanded that the TRS government exempt the transport vehicles from RTA’s online services since the department was unable to carry out different transactions in respect of vehicles within a day as before.
Addressing the media here on Thursday, JAC convener Mohd Amanullah Khan alleged that ever since RTA online services were launched different RTA jobs like Auto Fitness Test, Permit Renewal, Transfer of Ownership and so on, which were done in one day earlier are now taking two or more days. Besides, the number of slot bookings was restricted due to which the RTA transactions are being delayed unnecessarily, he said. He also alleged that the Transport department went ahead with online services without considering the practical problems and difficulties of transport vehicle owners and drivers of all categories.
Khan also accused the Transport Department of taking a unilateral decision to introduce Online Services without consulting the public. Therefore, the auto drivers would fight against the process by launching an agitation from August 16.
