BJP floor leader in Assembly Dr. K. Lakshman has strongly condemned the remarks of Commercial Taxes Minster Talasani Srinivas Yadav who has threatened all those opposing government policies and obstructing in development process would be put behind the bars.
Speaking to media persons in Assembly premises, Lakshman said that the minister was speaking like a ‘rowdy’. He said opposition plays an important role in a democracy. However, by asking the opposition to remain silent, Talasani is trying to intimidate opposition leaders. “Should we support all the decisions being taken by the government, even if they are wrong? Should we not hold government accountable for its actions?” he asked.
Lakshman asked Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao to clarify whether he treats Talasani’s remarks as official or individual. (INN)
