A software engineer, working with TCS, was found murdered near the railway tracks in Lingampally.
According to Gachibowli police, the victim, V. Hashmi, was missing from his home in Balkampet since May 23. On Wednesday morning, his body was found in a pool of blood near the railway tracks in Lingampally. He is suspected to have been hit on the head with a boulder which caused a grievous injury leading to his death. His wallets, cell phone and bike were also missing.
Enquiries by the police revealed that Hashmi had received a call from his neighbour Naresh Kumar Reddy on May 23 asking him to meet near Lingampally railway tracks. Since he did not return home, his relatives lodged a missing complaint with Gachibowli police on May 24. Naresh has been reportedly into custody by police for questioning.
