Position Title: IPT Voice L2 Position
Overall Job Purpose:
As part of AT&T, UCC is the organisation which runs and maintains the Voice infrastructure of its clients and participates in client specific projects. An IPT Voice L2 resource in UCC is responsible for ensuring the timely and efficiently resolution tickets/tasks assigned for support issues.
The Voice L2 resource reports to the UCC Lead. There will be a number of other Voice L2 resources within the team; each role holder will be responsible for ensuring the effective management of L2 tickets/tasks within UCC. Technical reference will be provided by Lead members of the team but the expectation will be that the role holder will proactively & continuously look to improve their skills and knowledge.
AT&T UCC covers components such as Cisco and Avaya PBX, with different adjuncts like Unity, Presence, CUBE, Cisco Voice Portal, SBC and SIP Technologies etc. This is not an exhaustive list but is intended to demonstrate the complexity and range of components that make up the AT&T UCC Portfolio.
Key Technical Skills:
Proven knowledge and expertise of specific technical platforms:
Strong knowledge of Cisco CUCM architecture, Deployment models
Strong hands-on experience in Cisco Unity/Unity Connection, Cisco Unified IM and Presence.
The candidate must have experience on RTMT (Real Time Monitoring Tool)
In depth Knowledge of Acme Packet SBC 9200, SBC 4500 and other SBCs.
Knowledge of protocols like TCP/IP, T.38,RTP, RTCP, H.323, SIP, MGCP and SCCP
Thorough knowledge of PBX & PSTN signalling systems such as DPNSS, Q931, QSig, DASS,
A good awareness of VOIP technology (Nortel, Avaya & Cisco) and its implementation in a Cisco Routed / Switched environment.
Fair understanding of Cisco Voice Gateways (29XX,39XX, ISC 4431 & ISR) PoE, VLANs. & Cisco UCS Servers (C series)
Understands how service support applies to own technical function:
Has experience of maintaining configuration items, raising changes and planning releases.
Familiar with technical documentation standards, guidelines and best practices.
Has a comprehensive grasp of emerging technologies.
Demonstrates a good end to end understanding of the systems processing for the business area & relationships.
Ability to present detailed technical information in an easily understandable format.
Nice to have :
Cisco Unified Contact Center Express & Enterprise experience.
Nice to have AVAYA Aura Experience.
Understanding of Lync Voice deployments would be added advantage.
CCNA Voice/CCNA Collaboration/CCNP Voice/CCVP or equivalent knowledge.
Experience : 6-8yrs relevant experience
