Ambala: An 18-year-old girl allegedly committed suicide by setting herself afire at her home in the city today, police said.
She had sprinkled kerosene on her body and set herself on fire when her parents were not present at home, police said.
The incident was reported by her neighbours after they saw smoke billowing from the victim’s house, they said.
The girl had sustained serious burn injuries and was rushed to the civil hospital where the doctors declared her “brought dead”, police said.
