A 17-year-old boy has been detained for allegedly raping a minor girl in Neem Ka Thana area here.
The accused, student of an industrial training institute, allegedly caught and raped the five-year-old girl when she was returning to school from home after having lunch on Saturday in Neem Ka Thana area, police said.
Police zeroed in on the accused after initial enquiry of the case and detained him yesterday.
“The accused was today sent to a juvenile house. His father died ten years ago and the mother is a labourer. He raped the girl at an isolated area and fled,” SP Sikar Akhilesh Kumar said.
He said the girl is under treatment at a hospital in Jaipur.
