Telangana BJP chief asks cadres to work for party’s win in 2019

Hyderabad: Telagana BJP president K Laxman today asked the party cadres to work with the aim of bringing the party to power in the state in 2019.

Laxman, while speaking during a meeting of the state office-bearers, asked the workers to reach out to people and explain the development and welfare activities of the NDA Government at the Centre and also the alleged “anti-people” policies of TRS government in Telangana.

“The central leadership of the party is keen on strengthening BJP in Telagana,” he said.

Alleging that the state government is not letting people know the efforts being made by the Centre for Telangana’s development, Laxman asked the workers to to make the people aware about the contribution of the Central government.

The state government’s flagship programmes like Mission Bhagiratha, Mission Kakatiya, 24-hours power supply are being implemented with the Centre’s help.

He said the party would agitate on issues like problems of SC, ST, BC and minorities and alleged cut in the funds for their welfare.

The Centre has released Rs 791 crore for drought relief to the state, but the state government has diverted the funds, he said.

Union Labour Minister Bandaru Dattatreya and other leaders were present on the occasion.
