Telangana CM KCR to splurge Rs 2 crore on chartered flight

Hyderabad: Telangana government has issued an order giving administrative sanction for hiring a chartered flight at a cost of over Rs 2 crore for Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao’s proposed visit to China and other countries from September 8 to 16.

“…The Chief Minster’s Office has informed that the Hon’ble Chief Minister proposed to use the chartered flight CRJ 100 during the visit from 8.9.2015 to 16-9-2015 and requested to issue necessary orders,” a Government Order (GO) issued by the Infrastructure and Investment department said.

The Joint Managing Director, Telangana State Aviation Corporation Limited (TSACL) has informed that “for the flying commitment” of the Chief Minister, along with other delegation members to China and other Countries, the Director, Aviation, has worked out and forwarded the quotation and terms and conditions of AR Airways Private Limited, it said.

“He has further informed that, as per the itinerary from September 8 to 16, 100 per cent advance payment of Rs 2,03,84,625 has to be made to AR Airways Private Limited for blocking the Aircraft CRJ 100.

“The government, after careful examination, hereby accord administrative sanction for an amount of Rs 2,03,84,000 to Telangana State Aviation Corporation Limited, Hyderabad, towards meeting the expenditure for flying commitment of Chief Minister with other delegation members to China and other countries from 08-09-2015 to 16-09-2015,” the GO stated.

The CM is slated to attend the meeting of the ‘New Champions 2015’ being organised by the Switzerland-based World Economic Forum at Dalian in China.
