Telangana govt to unfurl tricolour atop tallest mast in Hyderabad

The Telangana government will unfurl the tricolour on the tallest mast in Hyderabad on the occasion of the state’s Formation Day on June 2.

Chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao directed the state chief secretary on Tuesday to make arrangements for unfurling the flag at the Bathukamma Ghat of the Hussain Sagar Lake, a release from his office said.

Noting that there is a national flag at Ranchi, which stands tall at 293 feet, Rao said the flag here should be at a height of 301 feet.

The chief minister said the proposed flag would promote nationalism among citizens.
