Hyderabad: A Public Relations Officer (PRO) of Telangana’s Ranga Reddy District has been booked under the Nirbhaya Act for allegedly misbehaving with a woman officer.
On Wednesday, the victim, who is an officer based at the sub-collector’s office in Vikarabad, filed a complaint against the accused, alleging of sexual harassment.
The accused has been identified as P.C. Venkatesham, who is posted at the RDO office in Rajendra Nagar as a District PRO.
The police has registered a case under Section 354 (assault or use of criminal force to outrage the modesty of a woman) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC). (ANI)
