Terrorism, communalism & regionalism surfaced during Congress rule: Gali

TDP MLC and senior leader Gali Muddukrishnama Naidu today alleged that terrorism, communalism and regionalism surfaced during Congress rule in the country.

Addressing the media at NTR trust bhavan here on Tuesday, Muddukrishnama Naidu said the age-old Babri masjid in Ayodhya was damaged during Congress regime. The country will not be safe until the Congress is totally eliminated, Muddukrishnama Naidu said. On the reports of removal of NTR ghat and NTR garden, the TDP leader felt that Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhara Rao would not do this since late NTR had given KCR a political life.

Criticising Congress, Muddukrishnama Naidu alleged that the Congress had opposed Dr Ambedkar when he contested election to Lok Sabha. Even Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru too opposed Ambedkar. It was Dr Babu Rajendra Prasad, who supported making Ambedkar as chairman of Constitution draft committee, he added. It was late NTR, who convinced then government in 1990s to confer “Bharathratna” award to Dr Ambedkar posthumously, the TDP leader said and reminded that Congress party did not confer the award to Ambedkar during its rule. It was the TDP which always worked for development and welfare of Dalits, poor and downtrodden people, Muddukrishnama Naidu said. (NSS)
