Theft at Salman’s sister Arpita’s home; cash, goods worth Rs 3.25 lakh stolen

SALMAN ]

Mumbai : Cash and valuables worth Rs 3.25 lakh were stolen from actor Salman Khan’s sister Arpita Khan-Sharma’s apartment in Pacific Heights in Bandra (W), the police said on Monday.

The cops said that Arpita and her husband Aayush Sharma realised the theft only on Sunday (August 21), after they returned home from a holi day.

“We are looking for a maid named Aafsa, who was working for the family. She has been missing since July 30, and we suspect the theft must have taken place a lot earlier than Sunday,” an officer from Khar Police Station said. He said that a case has been registered under the Indian Penal Code Section 381 (theft by clerk or servant of property in possession of employer).

The cops said that cash worth Rs 2.25 lakh was stolen along with a 10 gm gold coin and designer clothes.
