There’s always a way for Indians, 25-30 Cr black money converted at toll gates

Hyderabad: Now-a-days, toll gates have become hub for converting black money into white. Reports say that within just 8 days 25 Cr old currency were converted into legal tender money. It’s one month since announcement of scrapping of 500 and 1000 notes. The government had decided not to collect toll due to cash crisis caused by demonetisation till December 1. While from December 2 to December 15 payment of toll in discontinued Rs 500 and Rs 1,000 notes has been permitted. 2 cr is said to have exchanged during last 3 days.

According to reliable sources black money hoarders with the help of middlemen (who connive with toll gate administration) are converting black money into white by paying 25 to 30 percent commission. Thus according to reports 25 to 30 Cr have been exchanged at toll gates in the state.

Union transport minister has also expressed surprise over collection of defunct currency in such a large amount as toll from toll plazas. He has directed CBI and Enforcement Directorate to keep tab on all toll plazas. Video clippings of transactions made on toll gates are being checked.
