New Delhi: Three members of a family allegedly committed suicide in Rohini’s Rajiv Nagar extension area today, police said.
Rajesh Gupta (40), his wife Uma Gupta (35) and their daughter Shweta Gupta (14) were found dead inside their house, they said.
While Rajesh’s body was found hanging, the bodies of his wife and daughter were found lying on the bed with strangulation marks on their necks, police said.
A suicide note was found at the spot, they said, adding that the family did not blame anyone for the tragic incident.
While Rajesh owned a tempo truck, Uma was a housewife.
Their daughter was a class 9 student at a private school here.
The bodies have been sent for post mortem, they said.
Police said that prima facie it appeared to be a case of suicide.
“We are investigating the case from all angles and are awaiting the postmortem report to shed further light in the case,” said a senior police officer.
