Three jawans killed during exercise ‘Shatrujeet’: Army

Bikaner: Army sources have confirmed the deaths of three jawans during their two-month long exercise Shatrujeet, which concluded today in presence of Chief of Army Staff General Dalbir Singh here in Rajasthan.

General Singh, who witnessed exercise Shatrujeet on April 22 and 23, reportedly expressed satisfaction over the conduct of the exercise, declaring it as successful.

During his visit, General Singh reviewed complex and integrated operational manoeuvres of the formation.

Synergy between Army and Air Force in executing air-land battle and the ability to orchestrate battle in network centric environment were successfully validated.

Aimed at on sharpening Army’s deep strike capabilities in enemy territory, the exercise saw the participation of over 30,000 soldiers.

Defense spokesman had reportedly said that the exercise was being conducted as a part of regular training to hone war fighting skills of the Strike Corps. (ANI)
