Dehradun: Three persons including a woman were killed and another injured today when the car they were travelling in fell into a gorge in Pauri district.
The accident occurred near Parsundakhal on Pauri-Kotdwar road at around 6.30 AM, Pauri SSP Mukhtar Mohsin said.
The vehicle fell into the 150-metre deep gorge killing three persons on the spot and leaving another injured who has been rushed to a hospital, he said.
There is a Delhi resident too among those killed in the mishap, the SSP said.
The deceased have been identified as Beena Jugran and Harish Jugran from Pauri and Jagjit Singh, a resident of Laxmi Nagar, Delhi, Mohsin said.
Anuj Jugran, who sustained injuries in the accident, has been hospitalised.
Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat expressed grief over the loss of lives in the accident.
