Tipu Sultan’s Urs celebrated in Mysore

Hyderabad: Under the auspices of Tipu Sultan Wakf Estate Development Authority, Ganjam, Srirangapatnam, Mysore and under the patronage of Mr. Tanveer Seth, Minister of Wakfs, Govt. of Mysore and with the cooperation of Urs committee of Madrasa Quwatul Islam, Urs celebrations of the first freedom fighter against the British, Tipu Sultan were celebrated yesterday. The procession was led by Sufi Wali Baba. Chief Qazi of Mysore, Maulana Mohammed Osman Shareef and Mr. Afroz Pasha, Secretary of the Urs committee organized the celebrations. Sandal Procession started from Milad Bagh and reached the mosque constructed by Tipu Sultan. Devotees from various places of Karnataka, Andhra, Telangana participated in celebrations.
