TJAC calls people to throng city on May 15

Telangana Political JAC chairman Prof. M Kodandaram has called upon the people to come to Hyderabad city in thousands to stage dharnas if the State government refuses to give permission to the “Chalo Dharna Chowk” program to be organized on May 15.

Addressing the 29th day protest program at Maqdoom Bhavan in the name of ‘Save Dharna Chowk’ here on Saturday demanding the State government to revive the dharna chowk at Indira Park, Kodandaram hoped that the government would respond positively on ‘Occupy Dharna Chowk’ program. “Otherwise the people have to change the entire city as a dharna chowk by staging protest programs everywhere in the city”, he said.

The State government has to convene an all-party meeting at least now and take a decision taking the opinion of all-parties into consideration instead of unilateral decision. Eminent writers Shiva Reddy, Sujatha, Rythu Sangam leader Banda Chandra Reddy, social activist M Krishna Prasad also spoke.

On the 29th day, family members of farmers who committed suicide, Human Rights Forum, Rythu Swarajya Vedika, MSI Chatri, gramya resource center, mahila hakkula vedika, poura hakkula sangam representatives participated in the program along with Dharna Chowk Parirakshana Committee members Hanmesh, Mallepally Adhi Reddy, DG Narasimha Rao, K Goverdhan, Sajaya.
