TPCC accuses CM of cheating tribals

Telangana Congress leaders today lashed out at Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao for “deceiving” the tribal people in the State.

Participating in the PCC Tribal Cell meeting at Gandhi Bhavan here on Thursday, TPCC leaders N Uttam Kumar Reddy and Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka announced they would launch a movement on behalf of the tribal people. They also said they will organize “Girijana Garjana” meeting on April 9 in Khammam town and Girijana meetings on April 13 at Damaracharla in Nalgonda district, on April 23 at Nizam College Grounds and on April 30 at Adilabad.

The TPCC leaders alleged that the State government was destroying the rights of the tribal people in acquiring lands and forcibly taking over lands of the tribal people. They also made it clear that they are totally opposed to the removal of Dharna Chowk from Indira Park. (NSS)
