TPCC condemns atrocious behaviour of TRS leaders

TPCC president N Uttam Kumar Reddy here on Saturday condemned the “undemocratic, anarchic and motive-oriented behaviour” of the ruling party leaders.

Speaking to the media at Gandhi Bhavan here on Saturday along with TPCC working president Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka, former MP Madhu Yashki Goud, former Minister Sunitha Laxma Reddy and TPCC Chief Official Spokesperson D Sravan Kumar, Uttam severely condemned the threatening calls sent to Leader of Opposition in Legislative Council Mohammed Ali Shabbir.

Expressing concern over the “criminal behaviour” of the TRS activists towards Congress senior leader and former minister Dr J Geetha Reddy in her Medak constituency, Uttam Kumar Reddy said the Telangana people were keenly observing all the “sins” of the ruling party leaders. He warned that the Congress would not keep quiet if TRS leaders continue to harass the Congress leaders.

Condemning horse-trading of the TRS leaders for MLC votes, Uttam said this sort of trade never happened across the national politics. Finding fault with the ruling party for fielding its candidate where it has no winning number, TPCC Chief said TRS harassed Congress candidates in Nizamabad. “The ruling party purchased the Congress party’s official candidate and murdered democracy”, he said alleged that the TRS party was looting the public money and purchasing votes. He also exuded confidence that his party would win the four MLC seats — Nalgonda, Mahbubnagar, Ranga Reddy and Khammam. He said the Congress was extending support to CPI MLC candidate Puvvada Nageshwara Rao.

Condemning the Union government for filing cases against the family (Gandhi family) which sacrificed everything for the integrity and unity of the nation, Uttam Kumar Reddy said the ruling party at the Centre was harassing AICC Chief Sonia Gandhi and vice-president Rahul Gandhi by filing illegal cases. He called upon the party cadre to stage protest programs across the State on December 19 on the day Sonia and Rahul will be appearing before the Court. (NSS)
