TPCC to conduct Rythu Bharosa Yatra

The Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) will conduct Rythu Bharosa Yatra across the Telangana State from Tuesday onwards.

Addressing a press conference at Gandhi Bhavan on Monday, TPCC president N. Uttam Kumar Reddy announced that the Congress would conduct Rythu Bharosa Yatra in Mahabubnagar (Oct 6), Medak (Oct 7), Khammam (Oct 8), Warangal (Oct 9) and in Nizamabad on October 11. He said all legislators and senior leaders of Congress party would participate in the Bharosa Yatra.

Uttam Kumar Reddy said that the suspension of all legislators of opposition parties for the entire session was against the democratic norms. He said by rejecting the demand of combined opposition for one-time settlement of crop loan waiver dues, the TRS Government has proved that it was not serious on the issue of farmers’ suicide. Accusing Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao of having failed to address the farmers’ issues, he said instead of finding an amicable solution, KCR made it an ego issue.

Asking KCR to apologise for farmers’ suicide and agree for one time settlement, Uttam Kumar Reddy announced that Telangana Bandh would be observed on October 10 to pressurise the State Government. (INN)
