TPCC leader threatens dharna at Assembly

TPCC spokesperson Regulapati Ramya has warned Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao that she would stage dharna in front of the Assembly on August 30 if the government failed to arrest Choppadandi MLA Bodige Shobha and a few corporators.

Speaking to the media at Gandhi Bhavan here on Monday, along with Indira Shoban, TPCC general secretary Uzma Shakir and others, Ramya said Bodige Shoba along with some activists attacked her function hall in 2013. “More so, Bodige Shoba lodged a complaint against me under SC/ST Atrocities Act. But then I approached then Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy along with proof. Then the police filed a case against Shoba and removed cases against me”, she said. She said the case was going on and the Court issued non-bailable warrant against Shoba. The police failed to arrest her though she was participating in official programs. She also alleged that the police were behaving like puppets in the hands of the TRS government.

Reminding the Chief Minister, who used to say that he would not tolerate even his own family members commit any mistake, the TPCC leader asked why he was shielding her instead of ordering her arrest following the court directions. She also alleged that the TRS leaders were misguiding the courts submitting wrong reasons. But the same KCR was threatening the Opposition leaders saying that he would send them to jails. It was not correct on the part of the Chief Minister to behave indifferently with different people, she said. (NSS)
