TPRIDE for Dalit, SCs, STs, minorities paid only lip service

Government of Telangana has made so many announcements to eliminate minorities’ backwardness and to provide economic development to them but at the same time minorities are ignored in government schemes especially those scheme which ensure social and economic development.

Government of Telangana has introduced Telangana State Program for Rapid Incubation of Dalit Entrepreneurs TPRIDE scheme to encourage establishment of new industrial Enterprises under which it issues certain incentives to industries. However only SCs and STs have been included in the beneficiaries in spite of the fact that according to Sachar Committee report Muslims are more backward than the Dalits. This shows that the government is not sincere in development of minorities especially Muslims.

If government wished it could have included Muslims also in the policy. Maulana Abul Fatah Syed Bandagi Badsha Quadri Director Telangana Chamber of Trade and Industries Promotion said the issue of non inclusion of minorities in the scheme can also be solved by another way. If government allocates atleast 100 Cr to Minority Welfare Department for industrial developmental activities then Muslims who are associated with small industries can benefit from the scheme.
