Hyderabad City Police Commissioner M. Mahendar Reddy, IPS, has informed that in order to facilitate regulation of vehicle traffic in connection with the Dasara festival programs from October 22 from 2 pm to October 23 6 pm the following traffic restrictions/diversions will be made if necessary.
Vehicular traffic coming from Khairatabad flyover towards NTR Marg will be diverted at Necklace Rotary towards I-Max Theater Lane – Traffic P.S. Saifabad – Mint Compound or towards People’s Plaza side. Similarly, the Traffic coming from People’s Plaza, Jalavihar and proceeding towards NTR Marg will be diverted at Necklace Rotary towards I-Max Theater Lane – Traffic P.S. Saifabad – Mint Compound or towards Khairatabad flyover.
The CP requested the citizens to take alternate routes to their destinations during the specified timings and co-operate with the Traffic Police during the period of traffic diversion.
Bibi-ka-Alam procession: Traffic curbs
Similarly the City Police Commissioner informed that traffic restrictions/diversions will be made on October 24 from 11 am to 9 pm on account of Bibi-ka-Alam procession in Hyderabad. Therefore, vehicular traffic will not be allowed to proceed towards Alawa Bibi and will be diverted at Sunargalli T Junction, either towards Dabeerpura Darwaza and Yakutpura Nala. Similarly, traffic will not be allowed to proceed towards Shaik Faiz Kaman and will be diverted at Jabbar Hotel, either towards Dabeerpura Darwaza and Chanchalguda.
The Vehicular traffic coming from Yakuthpura Railway station will not be allowed to proceed towards Shaik Faiz Kaman and will be diverted at Bada Bazar “T” Junction, either towards Rein Bazar and Talab Katta. The traffic coming from Purani Haveli (Durru Shehvar Hospital) will not be allowed to proceed towards route of the procession i.e. Etebar Chowk and will be diverted at Purani Haveli X Road, either towards Peeligate and S J Rotary.
When the procession reaches Ethebar Chowk, the traffic coming from Mitti-Ka-Sher will not be allowed to proceed towards route of the procession i.e. Etebar Chowk and will be diverted at Gulzar House, either towards Madina X Road and Charminar. The Vehicular traffic coming from Moghalpura Water tank will not be allowed to proceed towards route of the procession i.e. Chowk Maidan Khan and will be diverted at Hafez Danka Mosque, either towards Paris Cafe and Bibi Bazar.
When procession reaches Alijah Kotla, the traffic coming from Himmatpura X road will not be allowed to proceed towards route of the procession i.e. Charminar and will be diverted at Punchmohalla, either towards Moghalpura Fire Station and Chowmohalla Palace. The traffic coming from Puranapool will not be allowed to proceed towards Charminar and will be diverted at Motigalli, either towards Mitti ka Sher and Chowmohalla Palace (Khilwath). The traffic coming from Shakkerkote will not be allowed to proceed towards Gulzar House and will be diverted at Mitti Ka Sher, either towards Ghansi Bazar and Chelapura.
When the procession reaches Alijah Kotla, the traffic coming from Nayapool will not be allowed to proceed towards route of the procession i.e. Charminar and will be diverted at Madina X Road, towards City College. When procession reaches Miralam Mandi, the traffic coming from Chaderghat Rotary, Noorkhan Bazar, Salarjung Museum and Shivaji Bridge will not be allowed to proceed towards route of the procession i.e. Purani Haveli and will be diverted at Salarjung Rotary, towards Nayapool. When procession reaches Alawa Sartouq, the traffic coming from Chaderghat Rotary will not be allowed to proceed towards route of the procession i.e. Kali Khabar and will be diverted at Shanti Lodge, towards Chaderghat Bridge.
Traffic coming from Gowliguda will not be allowed towards Aza Khana Zohra via Salar Jung Bridge and will be diverted towards Afzal Gunj from Gowliguda side of Salar Jung Bridge. TSRTC district buses will be diverted to Gowliguda and Rang Mahal Road for entry and exit from 10 am to 9 pm on October 24. The motorists should not come on the Kalikhabar Road till the procession terminates.
In Secunderabad area
The following restrictions on vehicular traffic will also be imposed from 4 pm to 8.30 pm on October 24in Secunderabad area.
All vehicles proceeding from Hyderabad via Tankbund towards Karbala Maidan will be diverted at Children’s Park towards Kavadiguda, Bible House and R.P.Road. All vehicles proceeding from the R.P. Road towards Karbala Maidan will be diverted at the Traffic Island near Traffic PS Begumpet, Secunderabad (Bible House) via Tankbund Road and will join the Tankbund Road at DBR Mills “T” Junction.
The Mahatma Gandhi Road between the Central Telegraph Island and Ranigunj will be “One way” towards Ranigunj side. Traffic will be diverted at Ranigunj Junction towards the Ministers Road, depending upon the situation. (NSS)
