Train derailment: Nadda offers medical support to victims

New Delhi: Union Health Minister J P Nadda spoke to Railways Minister Suresh Prabhu and offered all medical support required for the victims of the train derailment in Muzaffarnagar in western Uttar Pradesh today.

“Extremely saddened to know about tragic accident of the Utkal Express in Muzaffarnagar. My thoughts are with the families of the deceased.

“Spoken to Union Railways Minister Shri @sureshpprabhu and Health minister UP @sidharthnsingh . @MoHFW_INDIA is ready to provide all support,” Nadda tweeted.

In response, Prabhu said he was thankful to Nadda for offering the medical relief to the injured.

Union Minister Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore also expressed grief on Twitter over the incident and urged all to join in praying for the families of the victims.

In a major train accident, at least 23 passengers were killed and many others injured when 14 coaches of the Puri- Haridwar Utkal Express jumped the rails in Khatauli near Muzaffarnagar this evening, officials said.
