TRS flays Chidambaram jibe

TRS MLC P Rajeshwar Reddy today condemned the comments of Former Union Finance Minister P Chidambaram that the state government failed to keep its promises. Addressing a press conference at TRS Legislature party office here the MLC termed as meaningless the word used by Chidambaram that the government forgot to implement schemes  like three acres land to Dalits, double bedroom houses to the poor, 12 per cent reservations to Muslims Minorities and others.

There is no credibility in what the former union minister said he said adding that the government is going ahead by implementing schemes of welfare. The housing scheme is fast moving as 2.60 lakh double bedroom houses will be completed by 2018, Rajeshwar Reddy stated.

Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao is determined to offer necessary reservations to the Muslims by 12 per cent and Tribals by 4 per cent he said. The TRS Government is committed to implement all the welfare schemes with top priority. He claimed that Telangana is number one state in the country in implementing welfare schemes spending huge funds. Our government is giving more land to Dalits though the previous Congress and TDP regimes together failed to give he said. Our government waived off Rs 24000 loans freeing the poor from repayment and Chidambaram might have noticed it he said.

The TRS leader also found fault with TJAC Chairman Prof Kodandaram for his remarks on various schemes, contracts and jobs. The Congress is coming in the way of regularization of contract lecturers and irrigation projects he said adding that Kodandaram is also trying to make potshots at the welfare schemes.(NSS)
