TRS leaders threatening officials: Komatireddy

Nalgonda: CLP deputy floor leader and Nalgonda MLA Komatireddy Venkat Reddy has alleged that Minister G. Jagadeesh Reddy and other local TRS leaders, were ordering officers of various departments to follow their instructions and politicizing inauguration of completed constructions under government schemes intentionally.
On Tuesday, Venkat Reddy, accompanied by Nalgonda municipal chairperson B. Lakshmi and other Congress councilors, inaugurated an overhead water tank constructed at an estimated cost of Rs 1.30 crores to meet the drinking water needs of thousands of people residing in third to sixth wards in Nalgonda town.
Addressing the gathering, Komatireddy said the minister and his supporters were threatening the officials of dire consequences if they invite him (Venkat Reddy) for inaugurations in Nalgonda constituency. He said with his personal efforts during previous Congress government got sanction of Rs 1.30 crore for overhead tank for the welfare of public of four wards, who were struggling for drinking water since several years.
He alleged that though the tank was completed three months ago, the officials concerned could not commission it because of Minister Jagadheesh Reddy’s busy schedule. The colony residents, who were eagerly waiting for Krishna water to be supplied from the tank brought the issue to him for necessary action. He said on the request of municipal chairman and colony residents, he inaugurated the tank, released water to pipelines and arranged for distribution.
Komatireddy Venkat Reddy suggested to the ruling party leaders that development is a continuous process and no politician has right to stall it in any region. He listed various completed constructions due to his efforts with the support of various Chief Ministers of united Andhra Pradesh since the last 17 years. He said once sewerage treatment plant of underground drainage completed, the look of Nalgonda will be change. He demanded immediate release of Krishna drinking water to the left canal of Nagarjunasagar to fill the water bodies in view of summer.
In the program, councilors Nagaratnam Raju, Vedasri, Morisetti Nageswar Rao, Miryala Yadagiri, Dubba Ashok, Nagaraju, Mandadi Srinivas Reddy, DCCB director Sampath Reddy, local Congress leaders and a large number of people were present. (NSS)
