TRS men distributed crores of rupees: TTDP

Telangana TDP today alleged that the ruling party has blatantly misused its power and lured the voters by distributing several crores of rupees in GHMC elections.

Talking to the media, they condemned the attacks on leaders by TRS workers. Fearing defeat in the elections, TRS leaders encouraged attacks on the Opposition leaders and workers. Telangana TDP president L Ramana said in spite of the TRS party’s undemocratic acts, there was favorable atmosphere in support of TDP-BJP combine. But the ruling party indulged in mind game by giving advertisement in all newspapers, he said, adding that an MIM MLA visited a polling booth which was not in his constituency, but the officials did not object to it.

When TDP workers found a TRS worker was carrying money in his car near Sai Digree College, they nabbed him and handed over to police, who later allowed him to go. When TDP workers tried to prevent distribution of money at Mansoorabad, supporters of minister Jagdish Reddy attacked TDP candidate K Narasimha Reddy.

Party floor leader Errabelli Dayakar Rao also condemned the TRS government. He alleged that the State government had also deleted the name of ACB Director General A K Khan from voter list.

Telangana TDP working president A Revanth Reddy said police personnel on duty should discharge their duty as government employees and not to yield to pressure of ruling party leaders. Senior party leader Motkupally Narasimhulu alleged that money was openly distributed  to the voters.

TDP leaders E Peddi Reddy, Ravula Chandrasekhar Reddy_and Arvind Kumar Goud also spoke condemning the TRS style of conducting GHMC elections. (NSS)
