Hyderabad: TRS Ministers were entrusted with the responsibility of calling for tenders, their finalization and for the construction of 2BHK for the poor.
These works were to be completed by contacting the District Collectors but due to the inefficiency these ministers, this important scheme could not be implemented. The ministers opined that contractors are not interested in construction works. They are demanding more money. They say that it is not possible to construct 2BHK house within an estimate of Rs. 5-6 lakh. The officials say that due to the enhancement of cost of construction materials and labour charges, the estimate is getting increased.
It is expected that CM would convene a meeting with the ministers and officials to resolve these issues.
