TRS ready to challenge MIM

Telangana Rashtra Samithi has decided to contest on all 150 wards in Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation election with full might. Party is seriously preparing to contest in MIM strongholds too. According to reliable sources TRS election incharge for GHMC elections Panchayat Raj minister K T Rama Rao has issued clear directions to party leaders and cadre in this connection.

Besides new city the party wishes to test its strength in old city also, so as to pave way for selection of assembly candidates from old city in the future. Sources said that before the election notification was issued talks were held with MIM regarding secret alliance, however following difference of opinion regarding several seats, TRS is now prepared to contest with full might. It is said that incharge ministers of assembly segments have been obligated to support in election expenditures of all candidates and to pay special attention to get support of Muslim voters.

According to party survey TRS’ position in 15 to 20 wards of old city is strong and if contested with seriousness can win over 10 seats. In this situation TRS leadership has hinted the cadre to contest in old city with full might regardless of alliance with MIM.
