TS & AP Haj pilgrims land in Mina safely and offering prayers

All the Haj pilgrims, who left from Hyderabad Embarkation point have reached safely to Mina, 11 km away from Makkah to begin the Haj rituals, said Special Officer Telangana State Haj Committee Prof. S A Shukoor.

He said the Haj pilgrims from the States of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh are safe in Mina now and busy in offering prayers. With their arrival in the tent city Mina, the Haj rituals have commenced. The pilgrims will leave for Arafat, an important part of the Haj, on Sunday morning. He said the Khadim-ul- Hujjaj have been instructed to ensure that all the pilgrims follow instructions from the Saudi authorities to perform Haj in peace.

           

Prof. Shukoor said the day temperature in Mina is 41 degrees Celsius on Saturday. The Saudi Authorities have made elaborate arrangements for the Haj, he said and added that all the pilgrims have been asked to wear e-bracelets on their wrists, which contain all the information relating to the pilgrim and the bar code on them could be read on Smart phones.

           

Meanwhile, the Control Room in the Haj House was functioning round-the-clock. The Special Officer is in constant touch with the Haj Mission, Consul General Jeddah, Haj Committee of India and the Khadim-ul- Hujjaj. (NSS)
