TS decorated for formation day

Entire Telangana State has been embellished with enticing lights and other decorated material of glare as the people are all set to celebrate its formation day on June 2. The State Government has made arrangements for the great event on Thursday. After paying tributes to Martyr’s memorial at Gun Park Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao will unfurl the biggest tricolor at about 303 ft height at Sanjeevaiah Park to surpass the record of 293 ft at Ranchi. The officials have prepared for the grand gala wherein the national flag on being hoisted is set to hit a new record in the youngest state of Telangana. KCR will unfurl the national flag at the Parade Grounds as the mark of formation day and then address the gathering after a salute by forces. He will also offer prices to 62 eminent personalities from 29 fields on the occasion. To mark the occasion, the officials decorated the govt offices, bus stations, railway stations, monuments, historical structures. Cynosure with beautiful and most attractive illuminations  on the occasion are Assembly, Secretariat, Tank Bund, Necklace Road, NTR Marg, main junctions and roads of prominence. Governor who is to attend the Parade Ground in the morning is also attending a similar program at HICC afternoon on Thursday. Police and Security officials put their forces are on extra alert and cordoned off the twin cities with adequate number of staff for smooth conduct of the event. (NSS)
