TS gets many investors: Jupally

Industries Minister Jupally Krishna Rao today offered permissions to 16 new industrialists at Secretariat here.

Speaking on the occasion later, the minister said many industrialists, businessmen and companies were evincing interest in investing in Telangana State. The new industrial policy has become an ideal for many other States across the country, he stated. TSIPASS introduced by Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao was attracting the top industrialists and businessmen to rope in the State with big investments, he remarked.

So far, the government offered permissions in four phases to various noted companies came with huge investments and offer better employment opportunities, he stated. The new industrial policy enables the investors get the permissions in 12 days while it was not the case during previous governments, he claimed. The new policy helps the industrialists avoid roaming around the offices for permissions, he said.

The minister also made it clear that the TSIPASS fetched huge investments in recent times. This is a beginning and efforts will be made to get more in future, he stated. He also said the flagship program of water grid will be completed on time to provide safe drinking waters to each household. Even chief ministers of other States were looking at the water grid project in Telangana and may replicate the same in their States, Krishna Rao said. (NSS)
