TS Govt will help Abudhabi fire victims: KTR

IT and NRI Affairs Minister KT Rama Rao today said that the government will provide all help to the kin of victims of Abudhabi fire accident. The minister directed the NRI officials of the state to bring back the bodies of the deceased to India and be in regular touch with External Affairs Ministry. About 16 persons died, including five from Telangana, in a fire accident took place in Abudhabi when they were in deep sleep on Oct 19. They were working for Gulf Dunes Landscaping and Agriculture Services company he said. External Affairs deputy secretary has written him a letter that he is in touch with the external affairs ministry in Abudhabi for speedy disposal of the bodies, KTR said. Those deceased from Telangana include T Rakesh, P Naresh of Nizamabad, Prakash Malavath, M Naresh and G Akhilesh from other districts. We have urged the embassy officials to initiate steps to retrieve the bodies. (NSS)
