TS Govt will spend Rs. 20,000 Cr to develop Hyderabad: KTR


Panchayat Raj Minister K. Tarakarama Rao said that the Telangana Government would spent Rs. 20,000 crore to develop roads and other amenities in the twin cities of Hyderabad and Secunderabad.

Addressing the annual summit of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) at HICC in Madhapur on Wednesday, KTR said that the government would construct signal free roads, skyways and flyovers in the city. He said that the Krishna and Godavari River water was brought to the city to solve drinking water problem. He said all households across Telangana State would get tapped water supply in the next three years. He said Rs. 45,000 crore were being spent on the Water Grid project.

KTR also spoke about the new industrial policy which has been attracting huge investments from across the globe. He said that the State Government was equally developing the rural areas through ‘Grama Jyothi’ programme at a cost of Rs. 25,000 crore. He also listed out other schemes being implemented by the State Government. (INN)
