RTC Telangana State Mazdoor Union observed one day hunger strike today, demanding solution to problems being faced by TSRTC workers. Ranga Reddy and Greater Hyderabad districts RTC workers participated in the hunger strike at Indira Park.
Union General secretary Ashwadhama Reddy, President Thomas Reddy said the unions have been demanding the State Government to cancel circular no PD 1/2017, regularize all the contract workers, abolish out-sourcing system, facilitate good health and Medicines distribution, do away with rental buses and purchase new buses, solve garage labours and women labours problems, declare the duration of Sakala Janula strike as on duty, pay old DA dues and leave encashment arrears. Zonal president of GHZ Venkatesh, Kamalakar Goud, Shaik Reddy, Srinivas, Narsimha, Bal Reddy, Raja Lingam, V S Reddy, and others participated in the event.(NSS)
