TTDP plans stir from today against TS-Maha pact

The Telangana Telugu Desam Party is taking up agitation program from August 29 questioning the injustice to be meted out to Telangana state due to Telangana government’s agreement with Maharashtra state on irrigation projects.

           

In a pressnote, TTDP working president A Revanth Reddy said a rally will be taken out from NTR Trust Bhavan at 9 am. TTDP president L Ramana, working president A Revanth Reddy, senior leaders — Ravula Chandrasekhar Reddy, Mothkupally Narsimhulu, Kothakota Dayakar Reddy and other leaders Bandru Shobharani, B Srinivas, Veerender, Ch Madhusudhan Reddy and others will participate in the rally. The rally will end at Jala Soudha located at Erramanzil, where TTDP leaders would stage dharna.

            Revanth Reddy said the dharna program was to create awareness among the people on the loss to the State due to the agreement with Maharashtra government. He said they would mount pressure on Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao to correct the mistakes included in the agreement. He called upon the TDP activists, fans and well-wishers in Telangana State to participate in big numbers. (NSS)
