TTV Urdu news channel was launched on January 6, by Nizamabad MP and President Telangana Jagruthi President Smt. Kalvakuntla Kavitha. The launching ceremony was held under the supervision of Deputy Chief Minister of Telangana Mohammed Mahmood Ali. Home Minister N Narsimha Reddy, state ministers Jogu Ramanna, Mahender Reddy, Chevella MP Vishweshwar Reddy, commissioner of information and public relations (I&PR) Navin Mittal, Venugopal Chari, TRS Greater Hyderabad President Hanumanth Rao, TRS party Adhoc Committee member Mr. Azam Ali Khurram were present on the occasion.
Following the launch of the channel Mr. Mohammed Mahmood Ali told that the 24 hour channel will telecast Urdu programmes and news and disseminate information regarding government welfare schemes.
