Hyderabad: Mr. Mahboob Aalam Khan Secretary Anwarul Uloom Educational Association issued a clarification statement stating that Anwarul Uloom College premises is a purchased one and not a Waqf property. There is no information about the endower of the property nor a Waqf Nama is available. The institution is a registered society. He said Shaikh Mohammed Iqbal was appointed illegally; his appointment was challenged in the court and the case is pending with the court.
Secretary Anwarul Uloom Mahboob Aalam Khan had filed a defamation case against Shaikh Mohammed Iqbal with the IV Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate which has been accepted for hearing. Shaikh Mohammed Iqbal moved to High Court against the petition but the High Court dismissed his petition and directed him to face the trial in Court.
Shaikh Mohammed Iqbal approached Supreme Court against High Court verdict and obtained stay order. Secretary Anwarul Uloom also approached Supreme Court for cancellation of stay order, hearing of which is pending with Supreme Court. It is likely that the hearing will be held in July.
Secretary Anwarul Uloom alleged that Shaikh Mohammed Iqbal has tried to hide some facts.
