Tummala resigns as MLC

Following his election from the Palair Assembly Constituency, Roads & Buildings Minister Tummala Nageshwara Rao on Monday resigned from the post of Member of Telangana State Legislative Council.

Tummala handed over his resignation letter to Council Chairman Swamy Goud and the same has been accepted. He was among five TRS MLCs who were elected under MLAs’ quota on June 1 last year. He contested as TRS candidate for by-elections held on May 16 to Palair Assembly Constituency of Khammam district and won with a record majority of over 45,000 votes.

Tummala will take oath as Member of Telangana Legislative Assembly on May 26. (INN)
