Turkish diplomat calls on Jupally

Arda Ulutas, new Consul General of Turkish Consulate in Hyderabad, called on Industries Minister Jupally Krishna Rao.
The new Consul General introduced himself to the minister and discussed areas of cooperation. He informed Jupally that Turkey has 77million population and they were looking in the potential areas of Construction, Housing (Social Housing) Metro, Railway system and so on. He evinced keen interest to bring a mixed delegation of Turkish Construction Union and Exporters Union and several other unions in focus areas to meet the officials in Telangana to explore the possibilities of working together in several fields.
Arda Ulutas informed that there were several small and medium companies, which are interested to come here and meet the officials in this area of SMEs and MSMEs. He also informed that they would like to start with the MSMEs first. The Minister welcomed the Consul and elaborated on the new Industrial policy TS-iPASS which was launched recently. The minister expressed desire that both the countries could work closely in various fields. A copy of the Industrial Policy was presented to the Consul.
The Turkish Consul said they were looking in the fields of imports and exports. He also said Turkey was pursuing the project of having direct flights to Hyderabad as there are no direct flights now and all flights are routed through Delhi or Mumbai. He also expressed readiness to sign the Sister Cities Agreement with Telangana. (NSS)
