Turkish policewomen permitted to wear Hijab after nearly a century

Turkey: For the past 93 years, the secular constitution framed by Turkish Ironman, Mustafa Kamal was in vogue. For the past 15 years, the ruling Islamist Party has made many dents as a result of which women are being seen in Hijab. Recently, Govt. of Turkey abandoned the restriction of ladies police wearing Hijab.

A function was held in Anqura yesterday to mark the completion of 94 years of Armed Forces in which a lady police officer was seen wearing Hijab. This is the first incident after the Turkish Revolution of 1923.
