Two arrested for duping man of Rs 3 lakh

Mathura: Two persons have been arrested today near Barka village for allegedly duping a man of Rs three lakh on the pretext of selling him a car at throwaway price, police said.

The accused had called Ravi Sharma on the pretext of selling a car yesterday.

“When Ravi reached the designated place with two of his friends yesterday, he was taken to another area and robbed of the money he had brought for purchasing the car,” Deputy SP Yogesh Pathak said.

“The two accused have been arrested after a brief encounter with police and Rs 1.35 lakh cash, a mobile phone, two country-made pistols have been seized from the,” the officer said, adding hunt is on to nab two more accused in the case.
