Muzaffarnagar: Two persons were arrested and fake currency notes in denominations of Rs 500 and Rs 100 with a face value of Rs 3,300 seized from them in Gangadaspur village in the district, police said today.
Narpal and Madanpal were arrested yesterday based on a tip-off that the duo was involved in supplying counterfeit currency notes in the village, SHO Anand Mishra said.
Police have initiated a probe into the matter.
