Muzaffarnagar : A farmer and an unemployed youth allegedly committed suicide in separate incidents in the district, the police said today.
Suresh Chand (50) allegedly shot himself yesterday as he had an unpaid bank loan in Akhir village under Kotwali Station, SI Manoj Kumar Yadav said.
A case in this regard has been registered, police said.
The pistol has been seized, police said, adding that the body has been sent for post-mortem.
In the second incident, Mohit (26) allegedly consumed poison yesterday at Pinna village here, the police said.
The deceased was worried as he was unemployed, family members said.
A bottle of poison has been seized, the police said, adding that his body has been sent for post-mortem.
