Two Indian arrested during census exercise in Pakistan

Karachi [Pakistan]: Two Indians have reportedly been arrested for living illegally in Karachi, during the 6th population and housing census in Pakistan.

The Express Tribune quoted Sindh Census Commissioner Abdul Aleem Memon as saying that the two Indians had no legal documents and have been handed over to law-enforcement agencies.

Pakistan Government is conducting the sixth housing and population census in the country after a hiatus of 19 years.

Pakistan last conducted a census in 1998 and recorded a national population of approximately 180 million at that time. (ANI)
