Jaipur: Two officials, including a Commissioner of a municipality, were today arrested for allegedly accepting bribes in two separate instances.
Tanuja Solanki, commissioner of Nathdwara Municipality of Rajsamand district, was arrested for taking Rs 15,000 bribe from Harish Soni for issuing him a certificate for depositing lease amount for his plot, IG, Anti-corruption Bureau, Dinesh MN said.
After verification of a complaint filed by Soni, a trap was laid and a team of Anti Corruption Bureau nabbed Solanki.
In Jaipur, the personal assistant of Superintendent Engineer of Jaipur Municipal Corporation was arrested for allegedly taking Rs 3500 bribe from a contractor to upgrade his category.
