A 22-year-old woman committed suicide allegedly due to loneliness.
According to Pahadishareef police, the deceased, K. Vasantha, took the extreme step by hanging to the ceiling at her residence in Balaji Nagar of Saroornagar on Monday night. She was a divorcee and was living with her father Sudhakar. However, she was left alone after the death of his father Sudhakar recently. Loneliness is suspected to have driven her to suicide.
In another case, V. Jangaiah, 35, committed suicide by consuming some unknown poison. According to Meerpet police, Jangaiah came to his house in Bagangpet on Monday evening and consumed poison after having an argument with his wife over some trivial issue. He was immediately rushed to Osmania General Hospital where he was declared ‘brought dead’. (INN)
