Unite to serve State ably, KCR tells party leaders

People in the Telangana State are extending support to TRS and the leaders joining it should tread a new path to cater to the demands and needs of people, Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao has said.

Welcoming ZPTCs, MPTCs and others from the Congress and TDP from Madhira constituency of Khammam district into the TRS fold at the camp office, the Chief Minister said Kothagudem will be formed into a new district soon. As Telangana was facing a special political situation on getting statehood, the leaders should vie for welfare and growth of people, KCR observed.

The Chief Minister said Andhra rulers in then united State did not allow Telangana to use its share of Godavari waters and stalled construction of a check-dam across Munneru stream. KCR has promised to develop Madhira constituency by visiting it soon and asked the leaders to strengthen hands of Tummala Nageshwar Rao for speedy growth.

“Now we are being in own State have all rights to make use of our rightful share of waters and redesigning of the Sitarama project will help get Godavari for Krishna ayacut if necessary he said. He also noted that the TRS is already strengthened with the joining of Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy, P Ajay and P Venkateshwarlu in the segment and will now focus on development.
